The Workplace Community is Global!
The second morning of the eighth annual CoreNet Global European Summit opened with a meeting to update European members on the progress of CoreNet Global's WorkPlace Community following its launch at the Berlin Summit last year.
Marie Puybaraud, who is director of workplace innovation at Johnson Controls, opened the session by outlining the mission statement of the Community - namely to share world class solutions in an engaging and interactive way that expands the members workplace knowledge and positions CoreNet Global as the authoritative centre of workplace strategy and thought leadership.
There are already established Workplace Communities in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, and now with the network establishing in Europe, CoreNet Global is keen to involve members in a very participatory program.
Certainly, the word 'participatory' proved very appropriate to the remainder of what was a lively and colorful morning session, with a focus on issues of particular relevance to Europe, and presenters Katherine Randolph, Director, Unified Communications, Microsoft, and Jan-Peter Kastelein, partner, YNNO Consulting, together Marie, very keen for the participation of everyone in the room.
Following a video that delivered some contrasting predictions on the social, technological and environmental impacts on the workplace, an interactive exercise was organized to gather the thoughts of the participants.
